The approved code of practice for Regulation 21 of the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 states that:
"Washing facilities...must include soap or other suitable means of cleaning".

The Hazardous Waste Regulations (England and Wales) 2005, the Hazardous Waste Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005, the Special Waste Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2004 and the Environmental Protection Act 1990 Duty of Care Regulations (Section 34) states that:
“Oblige waste producers to ensure that their waste is managed with care and concern for the environment”.
